Jon Solomon
Owner and President
With more than thirty years of experience as an independent consultant for interior/exterior decking on naval ships, general construction, and flooring of all types, Jon Solomon started IFPC in a small Norfolk warehouse in 1993. His technical expertise, vision, and leadership continue to drive IFPC’s growth and reputation, serving both commercial and residential clients, as well as the U.S. government. Always open to new technologies and ideas, Jon encourages his team to strive to meet clients’ changing needs.

Marine Repair Estimating & Project Management

Scott has over 45 years of experience in marine preservation estimating & project management, including all types of coatings. He is also an instructor for Workforce Development at the Newport News Shipyard. Scott brings an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic spirit to IFPC and has been with our team since 2014.

Ann Marie McGunnigle
IFPC Landside Director & Marine Repair Estimator
Ann Marie has been part of the IFPC team since March 1997, working with both the Landside and Marine Repair Divisions. Leading knowledgeable field crews, estimators, and project managers, Ann Marie’s expertise ensures that our clients experience superior service right from the beginning.  Ann Marie is very hands-on and is there for all her clients from the estimating and design-build phase of their project through award,  production, and finally, the closeout of their project.   Our extensive portfolio of repeat clients is an excellent testament to Ann Marie’s technical knowledge, skill, dedication, and commitment to providing quality service.

Anthony Wetzel Marine Estimating

Anthony has over 20 years’ experience in ship repair beginning as a mechanic on US Navy Amphibious Vessels. He has worked all over the country on Navy, MSC, Coast Guard, NOAA and Commercial Vessels as an Outside Machinist, Planner, QA and Estimating/Contracts the past 10 years. He enjoys traveling with his wife in his free time.

Lee Scarbrow Production Engineer

Lee Scarbrow is a Hampton Roads native and has over 38 years’ experience in ship repair. Lee started his career at Norshipco (BAE) sheet metal apprentice in 1985. Upon his apprenticeship graduation he became a 1st class sheet metal mechanic and quickly moved on to the engineering group developing drawings for various ship-alts and shop fabrication packages to support marine ventilation and various HAB project installations. His career has taken him all around the country and overseas working on Navy, MSC, Coast Guard, NOAA and Commercial Vessels as a HVAC/Sheet metal designer, programmer, and estimator/planner. Lee has been with us since 2020 and is currently our sheet metal fab shop manager.

Steve Kuczma
Landside Estimating Manager

Steve Kuczma, our Landside Estimating Manager, has been with IFPC since February 2016. His strengths include management, diversity awareness, sales, passion for excellence, advertising, and excellent customer service. Steve has a positive sales performance. He has also developed sales motivational pitches for staff use, selects and controls purchases for inventory. Steve attended the State University of New York Alfred, majoring in Engineering for two years. Steve’s interests include volunteering, singing, playing guitar, and visiting nursing/ assisted living homes (Pets on Wheels). He is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus and has been an Ordained Deacon in The Catholic Church since 2001. At IFPC, Steve Kuczma completes bids for construction and renovation contracts. He has been a substantial addition to our team.

Dan Cozzi
Senior Estimator

Dan Cozzi comes to IFPC after spending 20 years in New Orleans working as a commercial flooring estimator/project manager.  His estimating knowledge and experience include healthcare, retail, education, and many types of office buildouts.  Dan enjoys working with numbers, so estimating comes naturally to him. Dan was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa, before relocating to New Orleans. Dan and his spouse, Jeanmarie, have and continue to volunteer for the Louisiana Boxer Rescue.  Relocating to the Hampton Roads area is incredibly enticing to them because of its proximity to Hatteras Island.  They are enjoying a new chapter of their lives in Norfolk.

Steve Banks

Marine Cost Estimator

Steve Banks resides in York County, Virginia where he was born and raised.  For three generations, his family has had strong ties to the Construction Industry.  His family founded a business of raising & moving single-family homes in flooded low-lying tidal communities on the Peninsula.  His role as an Estimator & managing project is the culmination of 25 years of managerial experience, sales, and customer service.  Steve’s technical expertise, attention to detail, and willingness to listen allow him to provide proposals that meet the needs of our IFPC clients.  In his spare time, Steve enjoys family time with his two children, spending time outdoors, and attending music festivals.

DENA WILLIAMS
Project Coordinator

Dena has worked at IFPC since day one of operation in August of 1993. The Stone Division was created in 2006. Dena took the opportunity to help build the division and has worked in that department ever since.  After several years of customer service, the priority changed, and the office staff was hired to handle our forever-growing client base. Dena’s main focus these days is applying accurate labor cost to jobs, assisting in purchasing material, invoicing completed jobs, collections for accounts, and always enjoys jumping in when needed to assist customers.  Dena is proud of the showroom that she helped design, which offers many quartz samples. She looks forward to showing off the stone yard outside, which is her personal favorite, that has a nice variety of complete slab selections for larger projects and a range of sizes and colors of remnant pieces for smaller projects.  Dena has represented IFPC in local trade shows. She has traveled to Italy and Brazil to hand-select material containers to offer IFPC customers the variety and quality of material that she believes every homeowner deserves.

Marcus Breeden
General Superintendent

Marcus Breeden joined the team in 2016 as General Superintendent to drive production. Marcus has primarily been involved with the Marine Division, specifically; erecting and maintaining environmentally controlled containments, utilizing ultra high-pressure water jetting as a means for surface preparation, and all things involved with shipboard preservation. He continues to experiment and develop new ways of doing old work more efficiently and profitably while developing the skill sets of employees to create the best workforce on the waterfront.

“Q” Abdur – Rahim
General Manager

Co-Workers and customers like to call him “Q.” “Q” joined IFPC in December 2019 and has an extensive background working for Military Sealift Command (MSC) for over a decade. ‘Q” has fit in quite nicely, filling the spot of Marine Repair Production Manager. “Q” wears many hats that include, but certainly not limited to, making sure all marine jobs are completed on time with top-notch quality and plays a crucial role in providing information to help estimate work for future contracts.  He plays an essential role in planning job schedules and placing the correct people in strategic positions to get the job done. “Q” assists in interviewing and hiring personnel from laborers to supervisors, to which he believes a strong team from the bottom up will continue to provide our customers with a quality end product to which they are habituated from the IFPC team.

David Lloyd
Program Manager of Preservation

David Lloyd started as a paint laborer at Midwest Refinishing, Inc. in Sycamore, IL. He worked his way up to Senior Foreman in no time. In 1995, David worked as a paint tech at Atlantic Marine Mobile. At Atlantic Marine Moblie in Alaska, he was responsible for blasting and painting hulls and ran crews that consisted of 5-30 people. After a while, David moved to Grand Bahama Ship Yard as a Hull Treatment / Scaffold Manager. His duties included planning workforce and equipment allocation requirements for all refit and scheduled dockings, reviewing specifications, and submitting job cost and workforce requirements. David Lloyd came to IFPC in 2021 as our Program Manager of Preservation. IFPC is very fortunate to have obtained a team member with years of experience

.Eric Best
General Superintendent

Eric started working for Jon in 1989 in the drywall division with Decking Design. When he decided to close that up, he asked Eric and one other person to come onboard doing marine decking. He started as a general laborer training under Mr. Mel Paris, learning the decking trade, then moved into management. He worked for them until April 1994, then Jon and his partner split, and he started International Flooring. On April 4, 1994, Eric was hired and went right to Charleston Naval Shipyard and ran his first job for him on the USS Moosbrugger. He stayed a supervisor for International Flooring for several years. He then was asked to help further with management, so I assisted the General Superintendent for the Marine Side of the house. He then went to Ft. Lee and helped with waterproofing in some showers with problems leaking. He has been working on the Landside ever since.

Jimmy Nicastro
E.H.S. Compliance Director

Jimmy Nicastro comes to IFPC from the ship repair industry, where he spent the last thirteen years working in maritime safety. Jimmy has also spent over 20 years working in the chemical industry and performed hazard analysis required by CFR 29 1910.119 for highly hazardous covered processes. Jimmy has been married to his wife Kathy for 35 years and lives in Great Bridge. He has two great children and is still waiting for a grandchild. Family is one of the essential values in his life, and he has been truly blessed. Jimmy is looking forward to new challenges and working with all his new team members in a safe and successful business with IFPC.

JAMES LANE
QA MANAGER

James has over 37 years of Shipbuilding experience and approximately 18 years in the protective coatings field. James started out at Newport News Shipbuilding in 1988 working as a Sheetmetal Mechanic and later became a welder. During James time at Newport News he became interested in the paint world. James received his NBPI and became a paint inspector in X67 for about 5 years and then was hired as a Paint Production Foreman in X33. When a position became available for a X67 Coatings Inspection Supervisor, he applied and was hired immediately supporting critical coated inspections on all Aircraft Carriers and Submarines which included tanks, bilges underwater hulls and non-skid on the Carriers.  Upon his early retirement from Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding in 2021, he worked for a year and a half as a General Foreman for the Blast and Coat Facility. James has recently joined IFPC and we are excited to have him on the team!

Teresa

TERESA GENTRY
Controller/Accounting Manager
Teresa joined our team in 2006 and has more than 30 years of experience in construction accounting. She manages all functions of the accounting department, including payables, receivables, and payroll. Teresa and her professional teamwork ensure accurate financial statements and job cost reporting. In addition to her accounting responsibilities, she manages all in-house computer maintenance, keeping IFPC updated with the latest technology. With Teresa’s management and leadership qualities, IFPC is always ready to tackle the next big project.
