Jon Solomon - Owner and President 
Jon Solomon started International Flooring & Protective Coatings, Inc. in a small Norfolk warehouse in 1993. Jon has over thirty years experience in construction, flooring and the marine decking industry and has been retained by foreign navies for interior/exterior decking consulting. He has been the driving force behind the growth and the reputation that IFPC now enjoys. As a result of its reputation and growth in the industry, IFPC now employs more than 100 craftsmen and support personnel and maintains facilities in Norfolk and Newport News, VA.

R. Stephen Solomon – Owner and Chief Operating Officer
Steve Solomon, a 1982 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a degree in Business and Accounting, joined his brother in 1993 to start IFPC. Steve has been the guiding light in leading IFPC in day to day in-house operations as well as providing sound financial direction. With the growth of IFPC and the business projections for the future, Steve’s experience and knowledge are valuable assets to the IFPC team.

Robert Patrick - General Superintendent
Robert Patrick has just recently joined our professional team.  Robert was hired on as the new General Superintendent in charge of all phases of production and quality control.  He has spent over 20 years in the United States Navy and was decorated and recognized as a leader many times before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1997.  After his retirement, he continued his work as a Coatings Inspector obtaining his NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) Certification by successfully passing the Peer Review in 2000.  In July of 2007 he earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Florida Metropolitan University.  He is an active member of NACE and SSPC (The society of Protective Coatings).  Robert brings 30 years of military and construction leadership and experience to our company and we are excited to have him join our team.

Mel Paris - Director of Marine Estimating
Mel has over 40 years in the construction industry with many years of experience directly in marine decking.  Mel has been employed with our team since it's inception.  His primary responsibility is insuring that all marine bids are responded to in an accurate and timely manner.    His knowledge and experience makes him an asset to our company.

Ann Marie McGunnigle - Landside Estimating Manager, Industrial & Commercial Division
Ann Marie has been with our team for 11 years.  She manages the commercial and industrial division, and estimates all flooring such as VCT, Stratica, rubber floor systems, sheet goods, epoxies, underlayment, terrazzo repair and sealers.  In addition to her daily activities, she also manages and trains our estimators.  Ann Marie displays dedication and commitment to each and every customer.  Ann Marie's superior customer service, coupled with her knowledge provides us with a well rounded estimator.

Teresa Gentry - Controller/Accounting Manager
Teresa has been a part of our team for two years.  She has over 20 years experience in construction accounting.  She manages all functions of the accounting department including payables, receivables, and payroll.  She and her professional team work to ensure accurate financial statements and job cost reporting.  In addition to her accounting responsibilities, she also manages all in-house computer maintenance keeping IFPC updated with the latest technology.  She also adds her assistance with many marketing projects.  With Teresa's management and leadership qualities, IFPC is always ready to tackle the next big project.

Michael Sullivan (Sully) - Senior Estimator
Sully has over 30 years experience in the marine industry.  He brings a wealth of information and knowledge to our team.  Sully is responsible for providing accurate estimates and project planning for our land and marine division.

Anthony Kresicki - Commercial Estimator
Anthony is a 2000 graduate from California University of Pennsylvania.  His course work included Manufacturing Technology with Drafting and Design Concentration.  His education is an asset to his success.  Anthony is responsible for estimating of carpet, resilient goods, woods, and ceramic tile.  Anthony has been with our team for 3 years and has gained several new customers.  His contract values have doubled since his first year here.

Roy Wells - Stone Division Manager
Roy has over twenty years experience in custom stonework.  He was involved in many special projects around the globe such as Ritz Carlton in Colorado, a five star resort in Hawaii, and Charles Schwab's house on Pebble Beach Golf Course.  He works with interior designers, architects, builders, and home owners which has allowed him to create a wide range of masterpieces including kitchen countertops, fireplace surrounds, shower enclosures, Jacuzzi surrounds, bar tops, vanity tops, and furniture, just to name a few.  Roy and his qualified team are ready to assist you with all your granite and marble needs. 

Doug Cowling - Commercial Estimator
Doug is our newest addition to the Landside Estimating team.  Doug came to us after four years of running his own successful flooring business.  Doug's primary role is to bid projects in the landside division.   Once awarded, he will project manage each job until complete.  We are excited to see the future for Doug and what his experience will do for IFPC.
