07/27/11 - IFPC awarded the Gold STEP Award for 2011!

03/01/11 - IFPC's own Robert Patrick, General Superintendent in charge of all aspects of production and quality control, was named President of the Hampton Roads chapter of the Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC). Rob's plans for the council include expanded membership and programs. IFPC is proud that Rob brings the same leadership skills and knowledge to the SSPC that he has contributed to IFPC and the industry for over 30 years. Rob retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1997, obtained his NACE Certification and in 2007 earned his Masters in Business Administration. Congratulations Robert!

02/28/11 - New Service Technology Spotlight: Road Sign Refurbishing IFPC has just made its first delivery of street sign aluminum blanks to the City of Norfolk. A new technology, IFPC's new hydrojetting equipment will enable the City to recycle street signs insteadof having to completely replace the signs, as was previously done. Using water only, ultra high pressure waterjet technology works with a vacuum system to remove the reflective sheeting off the aluminum sign. No chemicals or sand blasting is used. The first project included the hydrojetting of more than 2,600 square feet of signge in need of replacement. "The water stripping process results in considerabel cost savings for the City," states Dean Holstein, Manager of IFPC's Water Jetting Division. "Plus, the entire process is safe. Sheeting particles are collected in an environmentally friendly manner, and excess water is filtered and recycled for additional usage." 11/22/10 - International Flooring and Protective Coatings (IFPC) on deck the FSF-1 Sea Fighter in Panama City. The IFPC team returned home from Panama on November 16th after completing the work Arinc, Inc. and the U.S. Department of the Navy. The contracted tasks included pressure washing and profiling the aluminum deck, before applying non-skid coating to 10,000 sq. ft. of decking on the FSF-1 Sea Fighter....

09/30/10 - IFPC Awarded Contract for Decking on U.S.S. Wisconsin.

International Flooring and Protective Coatings, Norfolk, VA., was awarded the contract for the interior, exterior decking, coatings, non-skid, as well as the repair and maintenance of the teak decks for the U.S.S. Wisconsin.

09/12/10 - The IFPC team of Steve Solomon, Sonny Davis, Dave Corliss and Regi Corliss won 1st prize in the Annual Charity Event Golf Tournament at Sleepy Hole Golf Course on September 12.

The event was sponsored by the Independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOF).  The IOOF has roots to 18th century England and is a philanthropic organization organized to give aid to those in need and to pursue projects for the benefit of all mankind.  The IFPC-sponsored team won the tournament with a 13 under 59 and no mulligans!  The team donated all of the prize money to the charity.  In addition, several IFPC employees volunteered their time to assist in running this tournament.
