Founded in Norfolk, VA, in 1993 by owners Jon and Steve Solomon, IFPC provides premier flooring, protective coatings, stone, and granite. Diverse in skill, capability, and markets, IFPC takes great pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and service to its clients. Our divisions include: IFPC Marine, IFPC Land, and IFPC Granite. The IFPC team of highly qualified professionals has a long and proud history of supporting federal, state, and local governments, including the Department of Defense, as well as other public and private industries.
Owner and President
With more than thirty years of experience as an independent consultant for interior/exterior decking on naval ships, general construction, and flooring of all types, Jon Solomon started IFPC in a small Norfolk warehouse in 1993. His technical expertise, vision, and leadership continue to drive IFPC's growth and reputation, serving both commercial and residential clients, as well as the U.S. government. Always open to new technologies and ideas, Jon encourages his team to strive to meet the changing needs of clients.
R. STEPHEN SOLOMON
Owner and Chief Operating Officer
Steve Solomon, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a degree in Business and Accounting, joined his brother in 1993 to start IFPC. Steve has been a guiding light in leading IFPC's day to day in-house operations, providing sound financial and marketing direction.
ANN MARIE MCGUNNIGLE
IFPC Land Estimating Manager
Ann Marie has been part of the IFPC since March of 1997, working with both the commercial and industrial divisions, including all flooring such as VCT, Stratica, rubber floor systems, sheet goods, epoxies, underlayment, terrazzo repair, and sealers. Leading knowledgeable field crews, Ann Marie's expertise ensures that our clients experience superior service right from the beginning. Our large portfolio of repeat clients is a sound testament to Ann Marie's technical knowledge, skill, dedication, and commitment.
Teresa has more than 25 years of experience in construction accounting. She manages all functions of the accounting department including payables, receivables, and payroll. She and her professional team work to ensure accurate financial statements and job cost reporting. In addition to her accounting responsibilities, she also manages all in-house computer maintenance, keeping IFPC updated with the latest technology. With Teresa's management and leadership qualities, IFPC is always ready to tackle the next big project.
Dena has worked at IFPC since day one of operations in August of 1993. She joined the Granite division 8 years ago and provides exceptional customer service, assisting clients with their designs and selecting materials. Dena works with our distributors to provide competitve estimates for residential projects. She takes pride in helping each client create that amazing end product that is installed in a place our customers like to call home!
Director of Human Resources
Nichole oversees all aspects of human resources and hiring, applying best practices and innovative solutions. With almost a decade of experience in the ship repair industry she has an impressive understanding of the industry and ever-changing workforce. She has strong relationship building skills and the ability to develop strategic partnerships. With experience and training Nichole has been able to promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
R. SCOTT EISEL
Scott has more than 38 years of experience in marine preservation estimating, including all types of coatings. He is also an instructor for Workforce Development at the Newport News Shipyard. Scott brings an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic spirit to IFPC.
Stone Division Manager
Miguel joined IFPC in the fall of 2017. He brings more than 15 years of experience in custom stonework and manages our expert Granite fabrication and installation team. Miguel owned his own custom stonework company in Colorado for ten years before moving to Hampton Roads to be closer to his sister. He, his wife, Carla, and three children are enjoying the friendly Tidewater lifestyle. He welcomes the team atmosphere at IFPC and provides top-notch customer service to our clients—interior designers, architects, builders, and homeowners. His creations include kitchen counters, bathroom tile and counters, fireplace surrounds, bar and vanity tops, and custom hotel fixtures.
Assistant Stone Division Manager
Michael (Mike) has 8 years of management engineering experience and assists his brother, Miguel, with leading the IFPC Granite team. Having earned certification at a technical school in California, Mike has unsurpassed expertise programming Computer Numeric Control (CNC) tools and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) technology. He sets up this equipment to enable the stone fabricators to make automated precise cuts to provide a wide variety of stone surfaces. Mike also manages the team’s scheduling for projects and programs. A recent arrival to IFPC and the Hampton Roads area, Mike is happy to be part of a dedicated team near his family.
